Creating Memorable Events

Is Your Child Turning Thirteen Years Old?

Are you about to have a new teenager in the family? If so, you might have been thinking that this would be a good year to celebrate in a big way. From sending out clever invitations to renting a party room for the big event, here are some ideas that might help you to plan a fun event that your child and his or her guests won't soon forget.

The Invitations - Sending clever invitations through the mail will more than likely be a big part of setting a festive mood for your child's upcoming birthday celebration. Consider focusing on the number 13since he or she will be turning 13 years old.

For example, the front of the invitation could have a big 13 numeral on it, with the one looking like a firecracker and the three looking like it's wearing a colorful party hat. Accompanying words could say something like, "Look Who's A Teenager Now!" Another idea for a party invitation would be to have a baby picture of the birthday child on the front of the invitation with words like, "Cute Baby, Fantastic Kid!"

Be sure to include an RSVP section with other pertinent information on the inside of the card so you'll have a pretty good idea of how many people will be attending the birthday event.

The Birthday Party Event - Of course, you could host the party right at your own home, and you could more than likely do an amazing job of hosting it. You could also consider renting a birthday party room for this important birthday.

Kids that will be coming to your child's thirteenth birthday party will probably still love things like a bouncy floor and other games that are provided by the party room service. You can even arrange for a favorite movie to be shown, maybe a classic that the kids may not have seen for awhile, like the original Harry Potter movie or something like Back To The Future.

When you reserve the birthday party room, you can also probably request which foods will be served. Consider going with something safe like pizza and, of course, a birthday cake for dessert. Another dessert idea is to have a mountain of different kinds of donuts piled on a platter. Put candles in the very top donut and let the birthday child have that one.

An added bonus of renting a birthday part room is that you won't have to set up a single thing or clean up after the party is over.
